The PS4 Slim gets another bundle for India. This time, Sony India will be selling the PS4 Slim 1TB console with Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition. Several retailers speaking to Gadgets 360 have confirmed its availability from this week in India for Rs. 32,990. It will be available at Sony Centre stores, Amazon India, and Flipkart though its yet to be listed on either e-commerce platform at this juncture, but it will show up shortly.

Independent retailers may not get access to this bundle due to the limited quantities that it will be available in. Gadgets 360 has learned all of 300 units have made it to India. We’ve reached out to Sony India for comment and will update it when we hear from the company.

PS4 Slim Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition Bundle India Price, Availability, and MoreThis bundle comes with the aforementioned PS4 Slim 1TB console and Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition. When Tekken 7 hit India, the Deluxe Edition never made it to retail. It contains the Tekken 7 Season Pass. This allows fans access to the game as well as new characters, stages, cosmetic items, and an entirely new game mode. All of these will be made available over the course of three content updates. Furthermore, fans also gain over 30 metallic costumes that let them stand out online.

Earlier it was rumoured that Sony would bring Tekken 7 along with the PS4 Pro – which was one of the bundles available in Europe. This hasn’t come to pass. Reason being, the PS4 Pro is in short supply and Sony itself hasn’t been able to keep up with demand.

Grand Theft Auto 6 in Development: Report

Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is in development if an actor’s resume is to be believed.

A new entry in the long-running open-world crime series has been expected though developer Rockstar has been mum on its prospects, happy to continue supporting GTA Online as well as throw us a few hints on the progress of development around Red Dead Redemption 2.

Nonetheless, stunt and motion capture actor Tim Neff’s resume includes the aforementioned Red Dead Redemption 2 and Gran Theft Auto 6. Large studios like Rockstar commonly work on multiple games at once and considering how well Grand Theft Auto V did, a new entry isn’t surprising.

Earlier in the week, Rockstar owner Take-Two hinted that the GTA developer’s upcoming games will have a larger online component.

“Obviously we know what Rockstar tends to do. And Rockstar’s activities have been transformed by Grand Theft Auto Online,” Strauss Zelnick said.

Previously it was suggested that Rockstar had already finished preliminary work on GTA 6, and considered GTA: Tokyo, GTA: Bogota, and GTA: Sin City in the process. It decided against these options due to logistical and cultural reasons, preferring to keep it in the US.

Given how long GTA games take to hit the shelves, we won’t be surprised to see Rockstar not announce it officially anytime soon.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One X Frame-Rate Revealed

Announced at E3 2017, PC hit PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be coming to the Xbox One and Xbox One X later this year. Now, its creator, Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene has revealed what frame-rate it will run at on the Xbox One X – Microsoft’s answer to the PS4 Pro.

“We have a version running on the Xbox One X prototype in the office which can plug into the online servers,” Green said in conversation with Eurogamer. “We were playing on live servers on the console at about 30 or 40fps. So it works on 100 man servers.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One X Frame-Rate RevealedConsidering how powerful Microsoft is touting the Xbox One X to be, this seems a bit low. Though since the game is awhile away, we could see that number hit a solid 60fps. It also makes us wonder what tricks Greene and his team might have to use to ensure a stable frame-rate on the Xbox One. Halo 5 studio 343 ended up using a variable frame-rate to ensure the game ran at a fluid 60fps and perhaps PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds might do the same.

Although it’s yet to be determined what frame-rate the final version of the game will run at, keep in mind that it will launch on Game Preview – Xbox’s answer to Steam Early Access, which means it isn’t a feature complete or bug-free version when it’s out. And if the PC version is any indication – it could end up being more CPU intensive, which if statements from other developers are to be believed, means that we won’t see massive gains on the Xbox One X due to the focus on upping GPU performance.

PS4 Software Update 5.0 Could Let You Change Your PSN ID, Play PS1 Games, and a Whole Lot More: Report

The PS4 system software update v5.0 could bring a host of new features to Sony’s popular black box. We could see the PS4 gain features like access to PSOne Classics, the ability to hide or completely remove items from library; the ability to delete items from your library, the introduction of a store wishlist; an increase in the maximum number of people allowed in a party, and, the ability to change your PSN ID.

PSOne Classics means you could play old titles from Sony’s debut console on the PS4. How this could be implemented remains to be seen. In the past, PSOne titles like Final Fantasy VII were made available for the PS4 with some modern upgrades like removing all random encounters and the ability to speed up the game. A year later, Sony revealed that select PS2 games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City could be played on the PS4 with trophy support and modern graphical touches. Previously a patent was spotted that allows Sony to add trophy support to PS1 and PS2 games

PS4 Software Update 5.0 Could Let You Change Your PSN ID, Play PS1 Games, and a Whole Lot More: ReportAdding a store wish list as well as changing your PSN handle have been oft-requested features, which also goes to show how far behind PSN is compared to Xbox Live and Steam.

The reason why speculation is rife on these features making the cut, is a survey that Sony conducted back in 2015. Nearly half of the requested features that users wanted such as notifications and appearing offline are already available for the console, leaving the above functions pending. Having said that, PS4 update 5.0 will be in beta at the end of the month and should hit all owners mid-August.

Past PS4 firmware updates such as 4.50 codenamed Sasuke added external hard drive support as well as unadvertised functionality such as Boost Mode.

Overwatch Update 2.16 Adds Doomfist and Fixes Loot Box Duplicates

Popular multiplayer shooter Overwatch received a new update that adds Doomfist – a new hero to the game. The patch brings Overwatch to version 2.16 and has a size of 1.448GB on the PS4. In addition to including Doomfist, it also promises to fix one of the game’s long-running issues – duplicate loot boxes.

“We always want the experience of opening a loot box to feel exciting and rewarding, and in our latest patch, we’re working to improve that experience in two key ways. First, we’re drastically reducing the amount of duplicates you will receive when opening loot boxes,” said Blizzard in a post on its site. “Second, to compensate for this reduction of duplicate items, we’re also increasing the overall amount of credits you will receive from loot boxes. On average, you should be earning just as many credits, if not slightly more, from loot boxes as you did prior to these changes.”

Other welcome add-ons include being able to create your own highlights, and rectifying bugs such as “Best In Game” stats not being updated.

Previously, Blizzard commented on its choice of voice actor for Doomfist. Despite many a rumour prior to the reveal, Blizzard opted for Sahr Ngaujah instead of fan favourite Terry Crews. At a panel during the San Diego Comic Con, many Overwatch fans shouted Crews’ name repeatedly.

At the end of the panel, Overwatch Senior Designer Michael Chu explained why Crews was passed on for another actor.

Overwatch Update 2.16 Adds Doomfist and Fixes Loot Box Duplicates“We love Terry. Terry’s awesome. He came and visited us. We had a great time,” senior designer Michael Chu said.

“When we were looking for Doomfist, we were looking for something very specific given his role in the game and everything. When we were early in the audition process, we heard Sahr, who’s the actor who plays Doomfist, and he just blew us away immediately. Once we heard his voice, it was like, ‘Holy crap. That’s Doomfist.’”

While Crews’ explosive persona holds up well in Crackdown 3 and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Ngaujah’s delivery is what you’d expect from a character with the lore and backstory devised by Blizzard, making him a better fit.

Now that Doomfist is finally playable for all and a Summer Games event hinted at soon after, there’s more than enough of a reason to come back to Overwatch.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for Nintendo Switch Gameplay and Modes Revealed

Ubisoft let slip some details on what to expect from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch when it hits on August 29. From playable characters, strategies, and story mode, this is what you need to know.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle gameplay is similar to Final Fantasy Tactics
Yes, you read that right. Here there is a team to balance, techniques to master, and a Skill Tree to develop for each hero. The enemies you face at the very beginning are tougher than you’d expect. However it seems to be a whole lot more cerebral. Encounters in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle are puzzles with the visual reward being the opportunity to see your favourite Nintendo characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi pull off their trademark moves in a new genre. This is compounded by the Rabbids companions that enliven the proceedings with dollops of humour.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle combat, skills, and weapons
The gamut of available weapons and tools in Mario + Rabbids is wide, and each hero can bring Primary and Secondary techniques to the battlefield that can be combined, such as using Luigi’s Magnetic Dance to set up a Grenade Duck ambush for Princess Peach.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for Nintendo Switch Gameplay and Modes RevealedIn one turn, a hero can slide into and trip over an enemy, before Team Jumping off an ally’s shoulders to land behind cover from which to launch another attack. This can set up a chain of attacks that could be anything from a rocket launched Spike, to ink damage from a Bwahntasaurus Wrecks sentry.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle story mode, co-op mode, environments and enemies
The game’s story mode takes you from a host of varied locales such as the sun-drenched Ancient Garden close to Prince Peach’s castle to spooky moonlit graveyards. Enemies are equally aplenty ranging from shield-bearing Rabbids that require sneaking up from behind, and Boos that teleport team members to dangerous parts of the map. Plus, there’s a co-op mode that supports every Nintendo Switch controller ensuring that the Joy-Con included with the console get a fair work out.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the Nintendo Switch is out on August 29. It costs Rs. 3,499 ($60 in the US).

Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Start and End Time Revealed

Earlier Gadgets 360 reported that popular hero shooter Overwatch would see the return of the Summer Games event. This was its first event last year and it’s back again.

Blizzard has announced that the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 event will take place from August 9 to August 29. No exact time has been mentioned, but if it’s anything like the Overwatch Anniversary event, expect it to begin from 8:30pm IST on August 9 and end on 12:30pm IST on August 29.

Along with it comes the obligatory game modes, loot, and of course a new map. Lucioball – the football inspired mode that made its debut with last year’s Summer Games makes a come back. In addition to the Rio map of 2016 is Sydney.

Although Overwatch Director Jeff Kaplan did not explain why the team had selected the locale, it perhaps could pertain to lore regarding Junkrat – an Australian character in the game.

Moreover, Lucioball sees some interesting modifications. For one, there’s Capa Lucioball – a competitive playlist with a placement and ranking. Also, Lucio’s ultimate ability doesn’t pull the ball to the player, instead it increases his movement speed and reduces the cool down time on his alternate ability. Lucio’s ultimate won’t let you ‘boop’ opponents either. What this means is, you can’t use Lucio’s ultimate to push goalies away and pull the ball inside.

In a welcome move, the Overwatch Summer Games 2017 brings a stack of event loot crates featuring all new cosmetics as well as returning favourites from the 2016 event. What’s more is, last year’s gear will be cheaper than the new ones.

Overwatch Summer Games 2017 Start and End Time RevealedNew Overwatch Summer Games 2017 cosmetic items price:

  • Legendary Skins: 3,000 credits
  • Epic Skins: 750 credits
  • Rare tier: 225 credits
  • Common tier: 75 credits

Overwatch Summer Games 2016 cosmetics price:

  • Legendary Skins: 1,000 credits
  • Epic Skins: 250 credits
  • Rare tier: 75 credits
  • Common tier: 25 credits

With the Summer Games making a return, it’s safe to say Blizzard will have Halloween, Christmas, and Anniversary events as regular, annual fixtures.

Take-Two Won’t Commit to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC; Says PC Gamers Are ‘Very Important’

During GTA publisher Take-Two‘s latest earnings call, the company maintained that the PC market is lucrative for its titles.

When asked if the PC is on the radar for its major releases, Take-Two President Karl Slatoff stated it depends on game to game. “Some titles are actually heavily weighted to PC, for example, Civilizationand XCOM,” he said, further stressing that the computer side of the business is of great importance.

“The great news is that the PC market is vibrant for us. It’s a great market for us. It’s a big market. It’s a core market in consumers that are highly engaged. It’s a predominantly digital market, which also removes friction in terms of ongoing engagement with a consumer. So, for us, the PC market as a company is very important and very exciting and something we focus on.”

Take-Two Won't Commit to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC; Says PC Gamers Are 'Very Important'During the same call, an investor asked if Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is able to share updates on the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Sadly, Zelnick gave the typical “any updates about any of our titles will come from our labels” answer.

Though we speculate a PC version of this Wild West open-world adventure is the works, Take-Two has only announced it for the PS4 and Xbox One and is due next year. Previously Take-Two implied that Red Dead Redemption 2 could have a bigger online component than expected. “Obviously we know what Rockstar tends to do. And Rockstar’s activities have been transformed by Grand Theft Auto Online,” Strauss Zelnick said.
